James Lee ”Jim” Keltner (s. 27. huhtikuuta 1942) on yhdysvaltalainen rumpali, joka tunnetaan yhtenä suosituimmista rockartistien käyttämistä sessiomuusikoista 1970-luvun alusta lähtien. Dacher Joseph Keltner is a Mexican-born American professor of psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, who directs the Berkeley Social Interaction Lab. He is also the founder and faculty director of the Greater Good Science Center, host of the podcast The Science of Happiness, and chief scientific advisor of Hume AI.
But because of the declining popularity of jazz at the time, and the pop/rock explosion in the late ’50s and early ’60s, Keltner jumped on the rock ‘n’ roll bandwagon and broke into the Los Angeles music scene. Keltner’s early experience as a session drummer was a struggle as he just tried to make ends meet.

When working on Living in the Material World, Keltner recalled Harrison being much more sporadic with creativity, continuing, “it was always kind of mystifying how he would come up with stuff to do, and how easily he made it happen”.
