These songs were written by Mr. Partridge for other artists, but were not used, and so he has recorded them and released them himself.

XTC were an English rock band formed in Swindon in 1972. Fronted by songwriters Andy Partridge (vocals, guitars) and Colin Moulding (vocals, bass), the band gained popularity during the rise of punk and new wave in the 1970s, later playing in a variety of styles that ranged from angular guitar riffs to elaborately arranged pop.

Andy Partridge, 1980. Andrew John Partridge (* 11. November 1953 in Valletta, Malta) ist ein britischer Songwriter, Gitarrist, Labelchef und Produzent. Partridge schrieb den größten Teil der Songs seiner Band XTC. Er lebt in Swindon, Wiltshire. Partridge wurde in Malta geboren, wuchs aber in Swindon auf, wo er seitdem lebt.
