Tras la correspondiente gira volvieron a Spiddal para grabar el nuevo disco. Los Waterboys entonces era Mike Scott, Steve Wickham, Anthony Thistlethwaite, Colin Blakey al whistle, flauta y piano, Sharon Shannon al acordeón, Trevor Hutchinson al bajo y Noel Bridgeman a la batería.
In 1989, in Edinburgh, Colin Blakey gathered a group of 19 musicians together to make a record based on traditional music. The record was called The Roke and was originally released only on vinyl and cassette. It has recently been re-mastered.
On 3 December 2021, the Waterboys released another box set, The Magnificent Seven, containing archive live, studio and session recordings of the 1989–1990 Room to Roam band featuring Scott, Wickham, Bridgeman, Anthony Thistlethwaite, Trevor Hutchinson, Sharon Shannon and Colin Blakey.
Colin George Blakely (23 September 1930 – 7 May 1987) was a Northern Irish actor. He had roles in the films A Man for All Seasons (1966), The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes (1970), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), and Equus (1977).

Colin Blakely. Actor: A Man for All Seasons. For a while he worked on the management side of his father's sporting goods firm in Belfast, but by the mid fifties he was in the chorus of an amateur dramatic and operatic society. He'd fallen for a girl member so joined the society to get to know her.
