Thomas Michael Stevens (July 28, 1951 – March 10, 2024) was an American bass guitarist from New York City. He recorded and toured with an array of rock, R&B, and pop acts as a session musician and also worked as a solo performer.

11 de mar. de 2024 · Veteran funk-rock bassist T.M. Stevens – who played on sessions with everyone from James Brown to Tina Turner and Billy Joel – has passed away at 72, according to reports from those close to him.
Biography. Stevens was a much sought-after session and touring musician. Among his many credits, he performed bass and backing vocals on the 1985 James Brown hit Living in America. He also performed on the 1993 Steve Vai album Sex & Religion, alongside Devin Townsend and Terry Bozzio.
