The Stone Roses were an English rock band formed in Manchester, England in 1983. They were one of the pioneering groups of the Madchester movement in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

The band fell apart less than two years after Reni’s departure, and they wisely went back to his singular skills when the group reunited in 2011.
