Jon Hedley Trickett (born 2 July 1950) is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Normanton and Hemsworth (formerly Hemsworth) since 1996. He was Shadow Lord President of the Council from 2016 to 2020 and served as Shadow Minister for the Cabinet Office from 2011 to 2013 and 2017 to 2020.

John Trickett is a self-taught painter from Sheffield who specializes in animal portraits, especially black labradors. His work has been exhibited and sold worldwide and featured in The Shooting Times and other publications.
In the 40 years that have passed since, John has created hundreds of paintings which epitomise the beauty and allure of our sports – from gundogs flushing pheasants, and shooting parties crunching across frost-covered ground, to hares, deer and gamebirds in their natural habitats.
