Located in the heart of the theater district in Manhattan, Professional Performing Arts School (PPAS) was created in 1990 to meet the needs of two groups of students – those demonstrating a strong talent and passion for the performing arts and those who were pursuing professional work in the arts.

  3. Professional Performing Arts School has one middle school program, Theatrical Arts, that requires the two following audition components: Acting: Students perform a one-minute monologue from memory. Choose characters that you relate to and decide to whom your characters are talking and why.

  4. The Professional Actor Training Program (PATP) prepares advanced students for careers as professional actors, with the expectation that students will take responsibility for the depth and development of their own artistic practices.

Today, the Ohio Theatre is home to the Columbus Symphony, BalletMet, and Broadway in Columbus, and also hosts CAPA-presented performances, as well as a wide variety of touring artists and shows each year. Our audiences experience world-class performing arts of all genres from every corner of the world right in their own backyards!
