6 de mar. de 2015 · Chappie is a 2015 film directed by Neill Blomkamp, starring Sharlto Copley as the voice and motion capture of a robot that gains consciousness and learns from criminals. The film explores themes of artificial intelligence, crime, and humanity in a near-future Johannesburg.
The film, set and shot in Johannesburg, is about an artificial general intelligence law enforcement robot captured and taught by gangsters, who nickname it Chappie. Chappie premiered in New York City on March 4, 2015, and was released in U.S. cinemas on March 6, 2015.
Tras obtener el nombre de Chappie, el robot comienza a trabajar para Ninja, quien lo engaña sobre sus intenciones desde el inicio. A la par de esto, Vincent Moore, un soldado convertido en ingeniero, falla en vender su proyecto MOOSE al gobierno.
