Brooklyn Nine-Nine is an American sitcom which premiered in September 2013 on Fox, and later moved to NBC. The show revolves around the detective squad of the fictional 99th Precinct of the New York Police Department, located in Brooklyn.
Cast and characters. Andy Samberg as Jacob "Jake" Peralta: Jake is a skilled detective, but often acts immaturely. His favorite film is Die Hard, which he references frequently and even attempts to relive. He is also a fan of Taylor Swift 's music and Nicolas Cage 's movies.
