SoC students have the option of pursuing one or more modules in the School of Communication. Some modules may be open to non-SoC students as well. A curricular initiative unique to SoC, modules are highly focused programs of study that include related coursework, co-curriculars and pre-professional experiences, and culminate in the creation of a capstone project. High School Programs. Each summer the School of Communication’s National High School Institute (also known as the Cherub program) draws high-achieving high school students to Northwestern’s renowned precollege programs in theatre, film, and debate.
