Mother and daughter bicker over everything -- what Anna wears, whom she likes and what she wants to do when she's older. In turn, Anna detests Tess's fiancé. When a magical fortune cookie switches their personalities, they each get a peek at how the other person feels, thinks and lives.
Anna Coleman is a rebellious teenager, who is guitarist for Pink Slip, a punk rock band, with her two friends Maddie and Peg. Anna also has a crush on Jake, but her high school life is really hard for her such as getting bullied by her former friend Stacey and Mr. Bates giving her a failing grade out of spite.
