Hard Times is a muted 70s tough guy flick starring the man of the era, Charles Bronson. There’s an undeniable charm and coziness found within the bluegrass music at its bookends (another segment in the middle also conjures such spirit), and the quiet Bronson and slick James Coburn command screen presence for the duration.
