On August 30, 2016, head coach Gus Bradley named him the starting left tackle to begin the regular season. Beachum made his first start for the Jacksonville Jaguars in their season-opening 27–24 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Hace 4 días · Luke Joeckel was the consensus top tackle in the 2013 NFL Draft, so he would have been the right pick. Eric Fisher has been considered the lesser prospect throughout, but Andy Reid liked him more than Joeckel.

The Eagles drafted Johnson behind Eric Fisher and Luke Joeckel but came away with exponentially more value. Their incredible record with him in the lineup and mediocre record without him is no coincidence.
