David "Dave" Poche (born July 31st, 1975; age 48) is the actor behind Mover Dave and the bassist for the Imagination Movers. As well as being a part of the Imagination Movers, Poche is an architect by trade, designing various New Orleans-based banks, offices, and hotels.
The Imagination Movers story is the ultimate example of the power of imagination. In 2002, four New Orleans friends– Rich Collins, Scott Durbin, Dave Poche, and Scott “Smitty” Smith– had an idea. They thought kids wanted and deserved music that spoke to them, not down to them.
As 'Imagination Mover Dave,' Poche is the Movers' "jack-of-all-trades," using his red gadget hat as a storage device for a variety of objects, many of which he uses to make his cool gizmos and contraptions.
