Yi Zhao is a Berlin-based lighting designer who works internationally. He creates four-dimensional compositions that are sculptural, pictorial and musical, and are informed by art photography and music.
Zhao gained recognition with his supporting roles in the historical comedy drama King is Not Easy, and romantic comedy drama Accidentally In Love; as well as historical fiction TV series The Legend of Haolan where he plays Prince Yi of Zhao.
Directing. As the son of three generations of opera family, Zhao Yi was supposed to start his life on the Peking Opera stage. However, fate allowed him to join the promising and highly competitive film and television industry shortly after graduating from the Chinese Academy of Drama.
Yi Zhao is a Beijing-born actor who has appeared in films such as Wing Chun, The Karate Kid and Wolf Warrior. He also starred in TV series such as Zou Si Fang, Pathfinding to the Northeast: Prequel and Nameless Heroes.
