The Actors Studio is an association of artists who explore new and deeper connections to the work, using techniques developed by Lee Strasberg. Founded in 1947 by Elia Kazan, Cheryl Crawford, and Robert Lewis, it has two locations in New York and Los Angeles.
En 1966 fundó una sucursal del Actors Studio en Los Ángeles, y tres años más tarde fundará el Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. Su vocación pedagógica lo convirtió en uno de los principales impulsores de lo que se conoce como « El Método » inspirado en el Sistema Stanislavski .
