14 de nov. de 2011 · I use the Cambridge English Pronouncing Dictionary (CEPD) and the Longman Pronunciation Dictionary (LPD) in developing materials for elementary students. I find the syllabification in CEPD probably matches American English better than the LPD. For example, it starts the 2nd syllable before t in the words waiter and waitress.
