  1. They didn’t direct Extraction. It was written by Joe Russo, but directed by (first-time director) Sam Hargrave. As for Cherry, it could easily be argued that the stylishness (which was praised by a lot of critics) did a lot too elevate a profoundly mediocre and formulaic script (not written by the Russos).

  7. Russo is an immensely talented drummer but he never seems to relax into the songs, alway pushing and driving every tune that’s ends up taking me out of the music and the song so often. It all ends up sounding similar to me somehow.
