They didn’t direct Extraction. It was written by Joe Russo, but directed by (first-time director) Sam Hargrave. As for Cherry, it could easily be argued that the stylishness (which was praised by a lot of critics) did a lot too elevate a profoundly mediocre and formulaic script (not written by the Russos).
Just saw JRAD at Sweetwater 420. The entire 2 1/2 hour show was incredible! Here’s a link, but if I had to pick Best of Show it would be a blazing 15 minute Throwing Stones. Scroll to time 2:01:00 and enjoy. For extra credit, the insane jam and Tom Hamilton guitar starting at 2:11:25. And Joe Russo and the whole band just keep bringing it! Enjoy!

Spider-Man is massive for them when they do absolutely nothing to him. All of those projects had Sony as uninvolved as possible. Meanwhile the projects they did have hands in, Venom 2, Morbius and the upcoming El Muerte, either cratered completely or are expected to crater.
They drop the Twins v. Stark plot halfway through; Stark's backup plan involves doing the same thing twice that got them in trouble in the first place, meaning he never learns his lesson and never has to answer for it; Ultron is neither menacing in presentation nor logical in his reasons for his genocidal plan -- he seriously wants to protect the world by kickstarting evolution by wiping out ...
Russo is an immensely talented drummer but he never seems to relax into the songs, alway pushing and driving every tune that’s ends up taking me out of the music and the song so often. It all ends up sounding similar to me somehow.
