This portal is a dynamic knowledge repository for wetlands in India. The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has accorded high priority to conservation of these ecosystems, and this portal is an initiative to provide a single point access system that synthesizes information dissemination regarding wetland sites of the country, projects, initiatives and training programmes.
