21 de dic. de 2006 · When it was originally released in 1995, Sell Sell Sell was such a commercial failure that David Gray's record company didn't think twice about dropping him from its roster. But because of the Welsh singer-songwriter's international breakthrough, White Ladder (recorded in his own bedroom and independently released), this transitional third album gets another airing.
Gray's first two albums, A Century Ends and Flesh, were issued in 1993 and 1994 respectively and led to Gray becoming popular in folk-rock circles, but both failed in terms of commercial sales. In 1996 Gray released his third album, Sell, Sell, Sell. The album was recorded at Pyramid Sound Studios in Ithaca, New York.
The discography of David Gray, a British singer-songwriter, consists of twelve studio albums, two live albums, three compilation albums, an EP, and twenty-one singles. Gray released three studio albums in the 1990s before finally making a commercial breakthrough with his fourth album White Ladder (1998), which received little initial attention before being re-released the following year.
