You must be a currently enrolled Berklee College of Music student before being considered for admission to the MP&E major. Prior to applying, potential applicants must have completed at least one semester of study at the college or have a minimum of 12 transfer credits.
As a music therapy major, you’ll learn to connect, inspire, and heal others through the medium of music. Over eight semesters, while completing the college’s core music curriculum, you’ll gain real world experience through internships, cutting edge clinical research, and collaborating with a diverse community of musicians, faculty, and industry and health professionals.
Composition majors study contemporary composition approaches, analysis, orchestration, harmony, counterpoint, and music history. The composition program prepares a composer to enter the contemporary music field by building strong fundamentals, developing their own individual compositional voice, and interacting with the vibrant and vast contemporary concert music field of today.
