Born in Seattle in 1951, Derosier went through the more or less traditional musical evolution of the era: big bands on the family radiogram, clarinet at school, and the great moment when he sat down behind his first kit at the age of twelve.
Michael Derosier joined Heart during the recording of Heart’s first album, “Dreamboat Annie”, and is known for having one of the heaviest, most distinctive sounds and quickest feet behind the drums. Derosier is celebrated for his work on classic Heart hits such as Barracuda, Mistral Wind, and Straight On, among many others.
En febrero de 1976 regresaron a su natal Seattle, e incorporaron al baterista Michael Derosier y el teclista Howard Leese. Ese mismo año publicarían su disco debut, Dreamboat Annie, un álbum muy al estilo Led Zeppelin, y con huellas vocales tanto de Joni Mitchell como de Robert Plant.

Michael Derosier is the drummer of Heart By Heart, a band featuring original Heart members Steve Fossen and vocalist Somar Macek. The band performs classic Heart hits and deep album cuts at various venues across the US.
