  5. A great character, perfectly portrayed by Dustin Clare. Fearless yes, rage? not so much, Gannicus was a fatalist and bon vivant extraordinaire. Gods of the Arena was not in the series plan (Andy's illness caused them to do it and wait for him to recover sufficiently to continue, sadly he didn't) but was by no means of lessor value to saga.
