Science for the People is organized around applying science (the body of knowledge, the methodological practice, and the scientific community) to the challenge of developing an environmentally sustainable, humane, and socially equitable global society.
Science for the People (SftP) is an organization that emerged from the antiwar culture of the United States in the late 1960s. Since 2014 it has experienced a revival focusing primarily on the dual nature of science.
Through research, writing, protest, and grassroots organizing, SftP sought to demystify scientific knowledge and embolden “the people” to take science and technology into their own hands.
