En este artículo revisamos la trayectoria profesional de Ann A. Wilcock, sus innumerables aportaciones a la profesión, especialmente, sus enriquecedoras contribuciones a la Ciencia de la ocupación y, en concreto, analizamos uno de sus artículos más relevantes: “Reflexiones sobre hacer, ser y llegar a ser”. Ann Wilcock es reconocida dentro de los estudios en ocupación humana y Terapia Ocupacional por dos transcendentales aportes: la Teoría de la Naturaleza Ocupacional del Ser Humano y el “Ser, Hacer y Llegar a Ser”, como elementos constitutivos del concepto de ocupación.
11 de feb. de 2020 · Wilcock defined the concepts of occupation and health and explored their links, discussed occupational alienation and proposed a potential role for occupational therapy in public health. She recommended that occupational therapists talk about occupation and its role in health and extend their influence beyond individuals to communities.

Amongst Ann’s many scholarly contributions to knowledge, the most profound emanated from hearing the concept ‘occupational science’ in the discipline’s very early days.
