The landmark compound includes a world-class recording studio, music and video production facilities, and distribution offices as well as the lone operative vinyl record pressing plant in the region.

About the Bob Marley Museum. The Bob Marley museum is situated on the site of the legendary musician’s home, which he purchased in 1975. This house, featuring 19th-century architecture, was Marley’s home until his transition in 1981. It was converted into a museum six years later by his wife, Mrs Rita Marley.
19 de sept. de 2017 · Tuff Gong International’s Making of the Music Tour is an engaging behind the scenes look at the record-making process from rehearsal to album. The studio was founded by Bob in 1965. Its name is derived from Bob’s nickname “The Gong” which he shares with Rastafari founder Leonard “The Gong” Howell, and tuff you had to be to survive in the Jamaican music business.

Tuff Gong is one of the Caribbean’s largest and most influential studios. It was Bob Marley's favorite place to record and is now run by his son Ziggy. Visitors are taken on a one-hour 'Making of the Music' tour with the entire music production process explained from rehearsal room through mixing desk to vinyl pressing, centered (of course) around Bob Marley.
