31 de oct. de 2016 · Aino Jawo is a Swedish singer. She is one half of synth-pop duo Icona Pop, alongside Caroline Hjelt. Icona Pop also has electro house and indie pop influences. Aino’s father, Momodou Bannoh Jawo, is Gambian, and her mother, Jaana Helena Siikanen, is Finnish. They met in Stockholm. Aino went to a Finnish school and can speak Finnish.
Jawo on tullut tunnetuksi Icona Pop-popduosta, jonka hän perusti yhdessä Caroline Hjeltin kanssa vuonna 2009. Myös Hjeltillä on suomalaiset juuret. Aino Jawon äiti on suomalainen ja isä gambialainen ja hän on kasvanut Tyresössä, Tukholman eteläpuolella. Jawo on myös esiintynyt ääninäyttelijänä muuan muassa Trolls-elokuvassa.
