12 de dic. de 1999 · The guy was a fantastic Ska bassist (probably the best I've heard). The Toasters have a new lineup every year it seems but I always go back to Don't Let the Bastards Grind You down as their best bass album (out of like 15 different Toasters albums or something).
The Toasters are one of the original American third wave of ska bands. Founded in New York City in 1981, the band has released nine studio albums, primarily through Moon Ska Records. History. Englishman Robert Hingley relocated to New York City in 1980, where he managed that city's Forbidden Planet comic book store location.
Since then, the lineup has seen many new faces (regular contributors included Coolie Ranx, Matt Malles, Brian Sledge, Lester Sterling – followed by a huge etc.), we released a bunch more albums, singles, EP’s & compilations – all available in our toastography.
