Johnnie Christo is the bassist of The Escape Club. Their hits include the Grammie Nominated # 1 Wild, Wild West, I'll be There and Shake for the Sheikh.
The band formed in 1983, comprising Mad Shadows members lead singer/rhythm guitarist Trevor Steel and guitarist John Holliday, along with former Expressos members bassist Johnnie Christo (a.k.a. John Christoforou) and drummer Milan Zekavica.
The Escape Club, best known for their Grammy nominated, #1 Hit, WILD, WILD WEST abd other hits, I'LL BE THERE, SHAKE FOR THE SHEIKH and CALL IT POISON.
The Escape Club were back on the map but it wasn’t until Johnnie Christo thankfully returned in 2019 that the band became whole again, touring the USA for the first time in a long while and now with plans for more gigs and recordings coming soon.
