The Mission, also known as the Mission UK in the US, are a gothic rock band formed in 1986 by former Sisters of Mercy members Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams. They have released ten studio albums and toured extensively, with a style influenced by Led Zeppelin and hard rock.

BIOGRAPHY. IN THE BEGINNING.... In late 1985 Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams left The Sisters Of Mercy and, after enlisting the talents of Simon Hinkler and Mick Brown, formed The Mission and in early 1986 embarked on their first European tour, supporting The Cult.
Gothic rock band from the UK initially consisting of Wayne Hussey, Craig Adams (both ex-Sisters of Mercy), Simon Hinkler and Mick Brown. Known as The Mission (UK) in the USA Having sold over 4 million albums, the band reformed to celebrate 25 years of The Mission.
