18 de dic. de 2021 · After 24 seasons, South Park permanently killed off the otherwise recurrently-dying Kenny in its special South Park: Post COVID for an interesting reason. For the show's first five seasons, episodes ended with an often-gruesome Kenny-death gag.
While Kenny does not die, nor does he appear until the very end of the episode, Stan and Kyle's lines are said when Jesus dies in Santa's arms after he is fatally shot by an Iraqi soldier. Stan says somberly, "Oh my God, Iraqis killed Jesus".
Kenny died in almost all the episodes until the writers killed him off permanently in the fifth season, in "Kenny Dies", but he returned at the end of the next season's finale, "Red Sleigh Down", remarking that he has "just been over there" (pointing off-screen).
Prior to season six, Kenny died in almost every episode. The nature of the deaths was often gruesome and portrayed in a comically absurd fashion, [7] and usually followed by Stan or Kyle respectively yelling "Oh, my God! They killed Kenny!" with the other yelling "You bastard(s)!"
Kenny's death was a running gag in South Park. Kenny's manner of death changes from episode to episode, and usually features someone or something that fatally hurts him. A typical gag features the culprit or accident killing Kenny, followed by the phrases "Oh my God, they killed Kenny!"
