I am pretty sure about you guys know the pilot episode of Hey Arnold. It was made back in 1994 as Matt Groening's brother in law wanted to show it to Nickelodeon executives. While it wasn't aired on TV, it did have a public theatrical release, which was shown before the movie Harriet the Spy .
