Rare Disease Day is the globally-coordinated movement on rare diseases, working towards equity in social opportunity, healthcare, and access to diagnosis and therapies for people living with a rare disease.
Rare Disease Day is a global initiative to raise awareness and generate support for everyone who is on a rare medical journey. It takes place on the last day of February, which this year is February 29th, the rarest day of the year.
Argentina. Argentina’s very first Rare Disease Day was in 2009. Since then, participants have been working with the media and patient organisations to increase awareness among the general public about rare diseases. Argentina held multiple events to celebrate Rare Disease Day 2020.
