Below is a conversion chart for the Yo-Yo Endurance Test result and VO 2max. There are two versions of the Yo-Yo Endurance Test, level 1 and level 2, and this conversion is valid for either test. Although the Level 1 test starts at 8 km/hr (stage 1), this table is for test results only from speed stage (level) 5 and above.

Este conocido test creado por el Jens Bangsbo en Dinamarca, es reconocido mundialmente como una de las pruebas más fiables a la hora de medir la capacidad aeróbica y el consumo máximo de oxígeno del individuo.
En su esencia, el Test Yo-Yo se convierte en un aliado valioso para estimar el consumo máximo de oxígeno (VO2máx.) que representa la cantidad de oxígeno que el cuerpo puede absorber y utilizar durante el esfuerzo físico.
We have created the above norm tables using as an initial guide the VO 2max norm table, and substituting the data into a formula for estimating VO 2max from the Yo-Yo IR1 and IR2 test results (Bangsbo et al. 2008), as well as adjusting the norms based on test results from a range of athletes from the same paper and other known yo-yo test results.
