Chris Spedding is an English guitarist and record producer who has played on and produced many albums and singles. He is known for his versatility, session work, and involvement with the Sex Pistols, the Wombles, and the Necessaries.
Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Chris Spedding has been a mainstay of the British session scene since the late 60s, playing with just about everyone from Nucleus, Jack Bruce, John Cale, Elton John, Mike Batt, to Paul McCartney & The Bay City Rollers (anonymously!).
Born: June 17, 1944 in Staveley, a small town in Derbyshire, England. Named Peter Robinson but later adopted by Muriel and Jack Spedding, and renamed Christopher John Spedding. In a career spanning more than 50 years, Spedding is best known for his studio session work.
