El nombre "Curved Air" se inspiró en el álbum A Rainbow In Curved Air, compuesto, grabado y publicado por Terry Riley en 1967. Luego de firmar un contrato con Warner, Curved Air grabó su primer álbum titulado Airconditioning, el cual fue publicado en noviembre de 1970.
The Curved Air Family Album collects together rare band tracks, previously unreleased collaborations and solo tracks from past members. In total the album features nine unreleased tracks and is a ‘catch all’ release for rare non-album tracks that fans may not have heard before.
Curved Air is best known for its hits BACK STREET LUV, IT HAPPENED TODAY and VIVALDI. The Curved Air Family Album collects together rare band tracks, previously unreleased collaborations and solo tracks.
