Rick Birkett was a guitarist who first found a small amount of success in the Blue Blood Group, who later changed their name to the Accent and recorded a single for the Decca label. Rick was involved in a line up of the Zombies, who began recording an album in 1968.
Several new Argent/White songs were cut, initially with a line-up of Argent, White, Hugh Grundy and Rick Birkett (guitar), with the latter three being replaced during the sessions by Jim Rodford (bass), Bob Henrit (drums) and Russ Ballard (guitar).

Newcomers Rick Birkett (guitar, ex-Accent) and Kenny Lamb (drums) joined for Back to Begin Again, but Jellybread broke up when the set failed to make commercial headway. However, Wingfield enjoyed success as a solo artist, session pianist, and member of Olympic Runners.
