13 de oct. de 2023 · For “Subspace Rhapsody,” the musical episode of the Paramount (PARA)+ series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, songwriters Tom Polce and Kay Hanley were given five weeks.
Kay and Tom wrote all the original songs of the first-ever Star Trek musical episode including the grand finale number “We Are One” - now eligible for Primetime Emmy Consideration for Outstanding Music & Lyrics.
Tom is a multi-instrumentalist composer/ producer. He has been working in the entertainment industry for over 15 years. First as Head of A&R/ Staff Producer for CBS Records and then transitioning to Staff Composer/ Producer for CBS, Viacom-CBS and Paramount Global.
The band's members are Kay Hanley, Greg McKenna, Michael Eisenstein, Stacy Jones, Scott Riebling, and later, Tom Polce and Joe Klompus. The group disbanded in 2000 but reunited for a small tour in 2008. In 2016, the band reunited, and on October 14, 2016, released an EP, titled Back to Nebraska.

Polce is known for his music and Hanley, her lyrics, and for Subspace Rhapsody , Polce described it as a “complete collaboration.”
