  2. The Princeton University Library’s collections are rich and diverse, with more than 7 million printed works, 5 million manuscripts, and 2 million non-print items including archival materials, maps, and coins.

  3. The Study Collections consist of reference tools, such as the Decimal Index of the Art of the Low Countries, scholarly compilations based on a particular research interest such as the Weitzmann Archive, and microfiche collections documenting photo archives such as Archivi Alinari.

  4. The Policies also explore subtle and dramatic differences in collecting level, formats, languages and other criteria among collections at Princeton and with cooperative collecting programs with other research institutions.

  5. Core encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, guides, handbooks, and atlases are included. While all subjects are represented, the collection primarily serves humanities and social sciences researchers. The collection is complemented by thousands of electronic reference tools.

  6. Our research magazine features stories and news from across the disciplines. We highlight research advances, initiatives, projects and honors from faculty, postdoctoral researchers, graduate students and undergraduates.
