Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) (Hebrew: אוניברסיטת בן-גוריון בנגב, Universitat Ben-Guriyon baNegev) is a public research university in Beersheba, Israel. Named after Israeli national founder David Ben-Gurion, the university was founded in 1969 and currently has five campuses: three in Beersheba, one in Sede Boqer and one in Eilat.

Led since 2006 by Rivka Carmi, the only woman ever to serve as president of an Israeli university, BGU is a leading research university with a particular commitment to green and alternative energy and broader environmental issues.
Eligibility for Admission. Applicants with matriculation certificates or high school diplomas from abroad. Grade transcripts and certificates submitted as part of the application procedure must be originals or photocopies authorized by the candidate's school or university.
